what we believe

about god

There is one living and true God, who exists in Three Persons--the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. All three are equally God, are of one substance, and are without beginning or end. God created the world and even now upholds, sustains, governs, and dwells in personal relationship with His Creation.

God loves you more than you could ever fathom.

about Jesus

We believe that Jesus Christ is the fully divine and fully human Son of God. Almost two thousand years ago, He was conceived in human form by the Holy Spirit and virgin-born to a woman named Mary. Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of the whole world by dying on a cross. Three days later, He rose from the dead, attaining eternal victory over the grave for all who follow Him. We believe our redemption and eventual resurrection to eternal life are guaranteed by His literal, physical resurrection from the dead. Right now Jesus is at the right hand of the Father, serving as High Priest to His people.

Jesus Christ is the ultimate self-revelation of God, the only way to salvation, and the Head of the Church.

about holy spirit

The Holy Spirit dwells in all who believe in Jesus. He lives in every Christian from the moment of new birth, and desires to continually fill each believer with ongoing power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. The Spirit baptizes believers into the body, seals them for salvation, regenerates them to new life, and bestows spiritual gifts on each one for the edification of the Church.

The Holy Spirit indwells all followers of Jesus.

He is our Advocate, our Comforter, and our Teacher.

about mankind

Human beings were created in the image of God to be in harmonious relationship with Him, but became alienated in that relationship through disobedience (sin) against their Creator. As a result of sin, mankind is fallen and all people are now incapable of regaining a right relationship with God through their own efforts.

Human beings find rest, purpose, and eternal life in Christ alone.

about salvation

God offers eternal life to all people because of what Jesus has done on the cross. Man is restored to right relationship with God only through a personal belief in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ for the payment of his sin and acceptance of Jesus as the Lord of his life.

The salvation of man is wrapped up as a free gift of God's grace, received through faith alone.

about christ's return

At the end of time, Jesus Christ will personally and visibly return. He will raise all people to judgment, bringing eternal life to His followers and eternal separation from God to those who have rejected Him.

One day, Jesus will establish His kingdom in eternity and be forever reconciled to His Church.

about scripture

The Bible was written by human authors, under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the inspired, trustworthy record of God's self-revelation to man, and is authoritative in all matters of faith and practice.

Ultimately, the Bible testifies of Jesus Christ, who is Himself the image of the invisible God.
