grocery gift card distribution
This season has hit a lot of people financially and we want to help give back by showing love and generosity to our community. One of the ways we’re doing this is by handing out gift cards at a local grocery store to those who may need it. This will be a guerrilla-style benevolence activity. You’ll be given a certain number of gift cards and posted at a local grocery store, handing out gift cards to shoppers, and telling them about the generosity of Christ.
snacks for seniors
The Snacks for Seniors program is meant to love those who are living in care facilities and do not have access to adequate food. We are donating snacks to local nursing homes and assisted living facilities to be given freely to those living there. The best way to get involved with this program is to donate individually packaged snacks. You can drop them off at the church and we’ll make sure they get where they’re supposed to go. Below is a list of suggested snacks. It is not exhaustive, but meant to serve as an example of the kinds of donations we’re looking for:
Granola bars
Pretzels
Personal sized bags of nuts
Personal sized bags of trail mix
Peanut butter crackers
Cheese crackers
Personal sized chip bags
Individually wrapped candy
Canned sodas
healthy kids
weekday lunch delivery
The Healthy Kids Lunch program exists to provide food for children from low-income families in our immediate area. When you volunteer, you’ll be asked to go by Granbury High School to pick up lunch packages. Then you will come to the First Baptist Granbury building to get the extra food that we are supplying for the kids for breakfast and dinner as well. You will then take the food bags to two local parks and distribute the food to children and families as they arrive. We would love to get you involved in helping feed hungry kids in our community!
Date: Monday-Friday through the summer
Time: 10:30A-1:00P

fuel pump takeover
Similar to the Grocery Gift Card Distribution, the Fuel Pump Takeover is a guerrilla-style benevolence activity meant to bless people by paying for their gas at a local station. You’ll be posted at a local gas station, telling people their gas is covered by First Baptist Granbury when they arrive, and having a friendly conversation with them while they pump their gas.
