AN UNUSAL FACT ABOUT ME:
I'm usual.
I joined the FBC staff in January 2021 but have been serving in student ministry since 2004.
I got my start in student ministry as an intern at my home church, Fannin Terrace Baptist in Midland, Tx. During my junior year of college at the University of Texas of the Permian Basin, by God’s providence, I accepted the call to serve as Student Pastor at College Baptist Church in Big Spring, Tx.
After graduating from UTPB in 2005 with a degree in Leadership Studies and a minor in Communication, I accepted the Student Ministry Associate position at The Woodlands First in The Woodlands, Tx. In 2008, God called me out of Texas to serve as the Student Pastor at Calvary Baptist Church in Batesville, Ms, where I served for 12 years. While at Calvary, I met and married the love of my life, Cortney, and I have a son, Mason, a sophomore Engineering student at Mississippi State University.
Currently, I am pursuing my Master of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Tx. I love going on adventures with my wife, spending time helping students know and love Jesus, and cooking up something delicious in the kitchen!
