Our program here at FBCP includes a balance of opportunities for the development of the whole child; mental, physical, social and emotional.
By using the WEE Learn curriculum and supplementing with preschool academics, we allow each child to progress at his/her own level of ability while enjoying feelings of success.
By partnering with us here at FBCP we can help maximize your child's potential in the Lord and strengthen their gifts and talents.
Our classrooms are designed to enhance children's learning with room to move about and explore safely.
In each room we have age appropriate rest rooms and observation cameras recording at all times.
With 71 years of combined experience, we offer a rich background of effective teaching.
Our Pre-K program is the final phase of your child's education here at FBCP and our goal is to prepare each child to enter kindergarten the following year and thrive.
Our Pre-K program uses the High Hat Phonics program to introduce reading and serve as a vehicle for speech improvement by learning sounds and symbols of the alphabet and blending them together.
Our Pre-K program uses Saxon Math which teaches concepts and skills in math, including counting by 1's, 5's, and 10's, acting out problems, addition and subtraction, comparing and ordering numbers, reproducing designs, measuring and comparing objectives, identifying halves, and creating and reading graphs.
Throughout the school year we invite outside help from our community to come and inspire the children. Between Dr. Dave the dentist, The Granbury Volunteer Fire Dept., The Hood County Sheriff's Dept., our Agricultural Specialist Lyn Parker, and Happy Bear from the Children's Advocacy Center - your child will have educational experiences they will never forget!
All the children will participate in performances on stage for the parents twice a year; our Christmas program in December and the Graduation Ceremony, complete with cap and gown, in May.
Although most programs follow the GISD calendar, we pride ourselves on being available to our families all year around. We are only closed seven days per year: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Friday after Thanksgiving and Christmas.
